Lynita and Bob
Oh. My. God. I love the colours that Lynita and Bob chose for their chill summertime Vancouver wedding at Cecil Green Park House. Bright colour palettes have become more and more common lately and I’m definitely here for it. I don’t know why but I just associate bright colours with fun and this wedding was definitely fun!
When planning their wedding Lynita and Bob knew that they wanted it to feel like the house parties that they’ve been hosting for years. They wanted to be surrounded by loved ones, have no tight itineraries to stick to, and to get a chance to connect with each and every guest. That means that we made sure to get all of the portraits done before the ceremony leaving them free to drink and chill for cocktail hour and move seamlessly into their reception.
Guest candids, capturing the energy of the day and getting some epic portraits were the priorities (in that order) so we made sure that the bulk of the 6 hours they had me there for were spent with the guests. I know that as I plan my own wedding guest candids will be a huge priority for me as well. Of course I want photos of us looking amazing, but it’s the hugs, the tears, the laughs that really tell the story of the wedding day and create the emotional connection to your photos for years to come.
So if you’re planning a guest-focused wedding I’d love to hear from you! And happy wedding planning!
