Stop. Stop what you’re doing right now. Grab a drink, sit down, and marvel at this STUNNING winter wedding at the Fraser River Lodge. I can’t tell you how long I waited to capture Danielle and Cody’s Fraser Valley wedding, well, okay it wasn’t that long, just a year since we first met, but I instantly fell a little bit in love with these two and as we got to know each other (through our love of cats and outdoor adventures) I began to feel like we were old friends.
One of my favourite parts about this wedding was the blending of modern details with Indigenous items hand-beaded by the brides aunties. Her armband, earrings, hairpiece and the moccasins worn by the bridal party (and the bride!) were all decorated by her family members and it brought so much personality and individuality to the day. Not to mention the bison that wandered the field behind the ceremony, but those guys are always there 😉
This winter wedding was definitely on the colder side, poor Danielle nearly froze her fingers off during our sunset session, but the warmth these two share, their connection and their absolute love for each other made for some incredibly gorgeous photos that I can’ stop obsessing over!
Thank you so much to the team at Fraser River Lodge for another perfect day, and to Danielle and Cody: you two are perfection!
