It’s winter, it’s snowing out, and most of my family is vacationing in Mexico right now. Instead of soaking up the rays I’m here in Vancouver with back-to-back meetings for all of the weddings coming up in 2020. While I’d love to be warm and tanned right now, looking into the coming year has me feeling so excited. All of the adventure weddings, the summer camp weddings, the elopements on mountaintops and the party weddings I’ll be photographing at some of my favourite BC venues will definitely make up for one missed week of sunshine.
For me, looking forward also includes taking time to look back. As I do, I’ve been taking stock of what the best parts of my job were in 2019 and what strikes me most is that after almost 10 years as a wedding photographer in BC I have found myself consistently booking clients that are a ridiculously fun. And (I bet you know where this is going) Travis and Diane were no exception. They are adventurous, hilarious, and their wedding at The Permanent in Vancouver was classy AND down to earth all at the same time.
The weather that day was about as Vancouver as Vancouver can get. It rained, it got sunny, and it rained again. For portraits we hid out in tunnels near Coal Harbour and dashed into The Commodore Ballroom for some quick photos, then back out onto Granville Street before heading back to their wedding at The Permanent where we danced the night away.
So many amazing people were part of making this day so awesome, so make sure to check out the list of vendors below!
